Goodyear Malaysia is back in business following the RMCO (recovery movement control order). The global tyre brand has just announced Zero Contact initiative to remind customers about current regulations. Zero contact initiative comes with freebies when a customer purchase Goodyear tyres.
All Goodyear Autocare tyre centers adhere to the Zero contact regulation. This initiative simply means any direct person-to-person contact isn’t necessary. This is known as the new nomal.
What’s a typical tyre service during the new normal
When a customer visits a Goodyear Autocare for tyre service, zero contact comes into effect from the moment you drop-off your vehicle. This contactless service is observed until you collect your car. In other words, there’s zero direct physical contact between staff and customers.
Goodyear has already implemented Zero contact in the U.S., Australia and other Asian countries.
Through the implementation of this initiative, customers are required to first arrange for an appointment with a preferred Goodyear Autocare center via a call or whatsapp messaging. Special-designated parkings are reserved for customers at Goodyear Autocare centers. At all Autocare centers, there are drop boxes for customers to insert keys. The keys would be collected by a service personnel to perform relevant tyre servicing or fit new tyres. Before the car is returned to a customer, a 12-point check is mandatory including disinfecting of 12 touch points of a car. A checklist is included in the car when a customer collects it. These are complimentary services provided by Goodyear Malaysia for customers to ensure that their cars are safe and sound.
Other precautionary measures enforced at all Goodyear Autocare centers include: mandantory sanitizing and disinfecting three times a day, distancing of 1 meter apart and seats in the store are marked for alternate seating,
Pay with e-wallet or online transaction
Customers are advised to pay their service fees via contactless payment options such as e-wallet, online banking or paywave.
More freebies when you purchase new tyres during Zero contact campaign
From now until 31 July, when you purchase Goodyear tyres, there are freebies up for grabs. Customers who purchase any four or more tyres of the following will be entitled to a Goodyear umbrella:
- All Eagle F1 Asymmetric tyre series (eligible for Goodyear Worry Free Assurance)
- All Eagle F1 tyres (eligible for Goodyear Worry Free Assurance)
- All EfficientGrip tyre series (eligible for Goodyear Worry Free Assurance)
- All Run on Flat tyre series (eligible for Goodyear Worry Free Assurance)

- Wrangler AT SilentTrac
Alternatively, customers who purchase any four or more tyres of the following will be entitled to a Goodyear non-slip mat:
