The Malaysian Government has issued a new MCO (Movement Order Control) on 1 May. What’s the new MCO? It indicates partial lifting of movement control for everyone. At the same time, businesses are allowed to re-open with strict regulations or SOPs (standard operating protocols).
This article provides several new items of the new MCO to adhere. The country and States have been earmarked with Green, Yellow and Red zones. Red zones are considered contagious and strict MCO is still actively enforced. For green and yellow zones, people are allowed to move freely by observing the stipulated time regulation and so forth.
Although the new MCO is carried out, people are still advised to stay home and continue observing social distancing. Eateries and restaurants are open for business with operation hours from 7 am till 10 pm on a daily basis. Only four are allowed to sit and eat in, at any one time. Regardless of the partial movement, everyone is still advice to take out or order a delivery to curb and minimize the spread of covid-19.
Shopping malls have re-opened across the valley and operating hours are from 10am till 10 pm. Almost two months of lockdown due to the pandemic, people are not really in the mood to go to malls but it’s an option to go out there for fresh air. For those who maintains staying home and social distancing, there’s always the online option. Another precaution measure to observe when you’re at the mall, don’t try on cloths in changing rooms and leave the store as soon as you’ve acquired your product or item.
Even with partial MCO, people are still not allowed to go to the gym and go to a park for jogging or exercising, or any outdoor activities for that matter. Most recreation parks are closed but the ones opened are accessible with required preventive measures by the authorities.
