For the big China market, Maserati is going all out with three new premieres at the Shanghai Auto Show 2019 with the Levante SUV, the Quattroporte and the Ghibli. Appearing for the first time in Asia is the Maserati Zegna Pellessuta interiors, interior customization especially for the Quattroporte GranLusso. And of course, for the China market, Maserati is putting out a new car model created by the Centro Stile Maserati in collaboration with a special customer.
Maserati Levante, Ghibli and Quattroporte
The Levante, Ghibli and Quattroporte displayed at the show are all 2019 versions. Let’s start with the Quattroporte S Q4 GranLusso which comes with a Blu Sofisticato color combined with black interiors. The Zegna Pellessuta material enhances the car with an extremely distinctive look. While, sporty seats give the cabin a plush and performance-oriented ambience. To top it off, the Trident brand’s flagship model gets 21” Atlante alloy rims with blue brake calipers.
Next up is the Levante SUV with a three-layer Blu Nobile exterior color. This special painting process yields a much deeper chromatic effect. Further highlights for the SUV include 21” Helios rims with dramatic black brake calipers and “Pieno Fiore” leather upholstery with full-grained leather decos. and last but not least, the Ghibli GranLusso Sports Sedan, also in the Blu Nobile shade for the exterior. The interiors are in the luxurious black “Pieno Fiore” leather with contrasting gray stitching and headlining in grey Alcantara. The 20” alloy rims are Teseo. With a GranLusso trim, the Levante has exclusive Ermenegildo Zegna silk, open-pore burl wood trim for the dashboard fascia and a leather steering wheel. As a standard feature one will also find 12-way power adjustable Comfort seats with memory and a Premium Harman Kardon audio system. Other things worth mentioning are electric sunblind, Soft Close door closure system, lockable glove compartment and a wide range of interior materials and options.
New upgrades available for the 2019 versions a redesigned gearknob with a short-stroke system and a driving mode cluster on the center console (all three models). All Maseratis for China has MTC+ infotainment system, which is based on a high-resolution 8.4” multi-touch screen and a double rotary knob on the center console. The human-machine interface has been further improved for 2019 versions with updated display graphics and improved climate system ergonomics. The airflow distribution control, which is fully separated for driver and front passenger, has been revised and offers additional customization options.
Maserati is finishing the interiors of all three models with “Pieno Fiore”, full-grain leather without equal in the automotive industry, thanks to its natural softness to the touch and unique characteristics. The “Pieno Fiore” leather upholstery comes in three colors, featuring tone-in-tone or contrast stitching for the seats and double stitching for the door panels. Maserati is also offering two brand new high-gloss interior veneers for the Ghibli and the Quattroporte and three for the Levante.
Each Maserati model boasts a dedicated color selection, which is continuously refreshed. A choice of ten body colors for the Quattroporte and eleven for each of the Ghibli and Levante models. In the wide collection of wheels designed specifically for every single Maserati model, there are five brand new designs in 20 and 21-inch sizes, two for each of the Levante and Quattroporte models and one for the Ghibli.
Other Maserati goodies at the show include the Maserati Levante Trofeo and Levante GTS, along with Octo Maserati GranLusso and Octo Maserati GranSport by Bulgari watches. Lifestyle products are also on display featuring new Maserati Capsule Collection.
