Released prior to the Persona Facelifted version, the Proton Iriz FL is now open for bookings at dealerships nationwide.
The National carmakers B-segment hatchback is set to be introduced soon, most likely alongside its sedan sibling. The Iriz is the first model in Proton’s current range to be given a facelift since the collaboration with Geely was announced.
Proton Iriz: Trimming the Unnecessary
Thw FL Proton Iriz is portrayed to be sporty and sleek to rival the MyVi with visual elements gained from current Proton’s. A new front bumper, grille garnish with slim headlights and LED DRLs take most of the exterior limelight. The front-end of course inherits elements from the X70 giving it that recognizable new signature Proton look. The rear has a new garnish and a fresh bumper to give the car a wider behind. Other touches to the rear are the vertical garnish inserts with bumper stripe and shark-fin antenna. Finishing off the Iriz package are rotor blade-type alloy wheels.
There are five variants of the Iriz: 1.3l Manual, 1.3l CVT, 1.3l Executive CVT, 1.6l Executive CVT and 1.6l Premium CVT. Prices of the model have yet to be announced.
The Proton Iriz FL comes with a fresh head unit with color touchscreen, an infotainment system and a whole bunch of cool stuff. Safety features that rival any B-segment hatcbacks are inclusive in the Iriz FL, as well. Further information will be available once the introduction phase is completed.
