Slated for debut in November, the New BMW X6 SAC (Sports Activity Coupe) in third-generation spots a clean, exclusive design, new powertrains and chassis technology.
When it comes to looks, the New X6 exudes stretched proportions and muscularity. The car although sleeker is bigger and wider than its predecessor.
The front-end is dominated by the large, single-frame kidney grille (optional illuminated grille) and standard twin headlights or optional Laserlights with Adaptive LED headlights,
Moving to the side, the X6 has a refined character line and dynamic roofline, to go with 19-inch light-alloy wheels. Optional wheel sizes range from 20 to 22 inches xLine and M Sport trim lines are available for the X6. From the rear, the slim LED rearlight, low-slung tailgate and trapezoidal exhausts with diffuser immediately turn heads.
Inside, the cockpit comes with new design and the upholstery comprises Vernasca leather material. Boot space expands from 580 to 1,530 liters with the rear seats down. Various highlights include multifunction seats with massage function, four-zone automatic climate control, thermoelectric cup holders, glass applications for selected controls, Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge, Ambient Air interior fragrancing package, a high-resolution instrument cluster, a Control Display with a diagonal 12.3-inch screen and Bowers & Wilkins Diamond+ 3D Surround Sound System.
The new BMW X6 comes with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, an intelligent digital character who responds to the prompt “Hey BMW”.
NEW BNW X6: ENGINE OPTIONS
For a start, the X6 is offered with two petrol units and a pair of diesel variants. The model line-up is spearheaded by a BMW M model with a newly developed 530 hp V8 petrol engine. The BMW X6 M50i is joined in the range by the BMW X6 M50d with 400 hp six-cylinder in-line diesel engine and a quartet of turbochargers. A straight-six petrol unit with output of 340 hp sees action in the BMW X6 xDrive40i and the BMW X6 xDrive30d employs a six-cylinder in-line diesel with 265 hp.
Chassis integrity on the X6 consists of a double-wishbone front axle and five-link rear axle. Dynamic Damper Control is included as standard, the Adaptive M suspension Professional with active roll stabilization and Integral Active Steering endows the car with exceptionally agile and dynamic driving qualities, and the new BMW X6 is also available with two-axle air suspension and automatic self-levelling.
On driver’s assistance devices, the X6 has Cruise Control with braking, Collision and Pedestrian Warning with City Braking and Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go (optional). Driving Assistant Professional is optional, while steering and lane control assistant with Traffic jam assistant and lane keeping assistant with active side collision protection are standard.
