In efforts to boost After-sales, Honda Malaysia has announced a drive to encourage owners to take up the Honda Insurance Plus (HiP). The HiP is devised with the goal of achieving lifetime ownership loyalty by building lasting relationships with customers.

The HiP program underlines three pillars, which are Rescue, Protection and Savings to provide comprehensive coverage for customers’ welfare and advantages.

Here’s the HiP’s three pillars in details:

1. Rescue

As unforeseen situations might happen on the road, HiP rescue teams are on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, in order to help customers to get back on the road safely. Customers can call for assistance any time of day by dialling the nationwide HiP 24/7 emergency assistance line, 1-800-18-1177.

In times of accident*, car breakdown* or flood*, the 24-hour emergency towing service will be dispatched to retrieve the affected Honda car and send it to the nearest Honda Authorized Body and Paint Center within a 450km round trip radius for inspection and repair. At the same time, HiP members will be guided and updated constantly by the designated Honda Authorised Dealer on the claim procedure. The insurance plan also offers roadside repair service with free labour up to RM200 per event such as jump-start battery replacement, changing a flat tyre and fuel refill, exclusive of spare parts.

 

2. Protection

To ensure comprehensive protection for customers, Honda cars involved in accidents or breakdowns will be transported to a trusted Honda Authorised Body and Paint Center and inspected by specialists who adhere to Honda standards.

To date, Honda Malaysia has 23 Authorized Body and Paint Centers nationwide that provide high quality service with certified technicians and are equipped with state-of-the-art tools and equipment to ensure that the cars are returned to the owners in the best possible condition. In addition, all body and part replacements are 100% genuine and comes with six months warranty or 10,000km service warranty. Customers will be able to get their cars back quicker and with faster claim approval, especially for pre-approved claims below RM20,000 repaired only at Honda Authorized Body and Paint Centers.

 

3. Savings

Aimed at providing security and relieving customers’ financial pressure, HiP comes with extended coverage terms and better savings on replacement costs. HiP members are eligible for coverage that includes 100% pay-out for theft or total loss due to accident based on the sum insured. There will be no hidden cost for new parts replacement for accident repairs for cars up to ten years old as well as 24 hours emergency towing.
