Ferrari F8 Tributo has arrived on Malaysian shores, following its presentation at the Geneva Motor Show, early last month. Its arrival heralded the tenth anniversary of the Prancing Horse marque in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
To mark the tenth anniversary occasion of Ferrari in the Far East region, Ferrari is inviting its Malaysian, Singaporean and Thai dealerships to gather at the St Regis Kuala Lumpur and Sepang International Circuit to celebrate a decade of the Prancing Horse. A Ferrari track event has been planned for the weekend at the country’s former F1 circuit for owners and invited reps from the dealerships.
Ferrari F8 Tributo
The attraction of the 10th Anniversary of Ferrari in this region is obviously the F8 Tributo. Simply means Tribute, the F8 Tributo pays homage to Ferrari’s impeccable V8 machines in the past.
The F8 T refers to the layout of the car and the engine with a 720 cv and a record specific power output of 700 plus hp (185 cv/l), the most powerful V8 in Prancing Horse history.
This mid-rear-mounted two-seater has an optimal weight balance; more efficient than the 488 GTB it replaces.
The F8 T is offered with Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE+) which can be activated in the manettino’s RACE position for the first time. The steering wheel rim is also smaller in diameter to enhance the level of tactility and make the car feel even more agile. In addition, weight reduction measures have cut the car’s dry weight by 40 kg compared to the 488 GTB.
Ferrari F8 Tributo: Aerodynamics
The F8 T’s aero package is directly evolved from the track and it adopts several features from the 488 Pista for instance, the rearward-angled front radiators and the dynamic engine air intakes positioned either side of the spoiler.
Like all Ferrari, the F8 Tributo doesn’t fall far from the tree. The front of the car is characterized by the S-Duct, sleek compact & horizontal LED headlights and brake cooling intakes.
The profile is simply masculine, thanks to the huge rims (20-inch plus) with mix-sized tyres and large side intake on the rear fender,
From the rear, the new Lexan rear screen showcases the engine, resembling the V8 of yesteryear, the F40. Then there’s the full-blown spoiler, the spoiler wraps around the tail lights, classic twin light cluster and body-colored tail.
