The Avengers: Endgame has hit theaters a few days ago and Malaysians are absolutely ‘berserk’ about Marvel’s final installment of the Series.
Prior to the end of production of the movie, Robert Downey Jr, aka Iron Man(Tony Stark), presented Chris Evans, aka Captain America (Steve Rogers), with a Army Green-wrapped Classic car, a 1967 Camaro RS. Evans has already announced his retirement from superhero flicks since prior to the Avengers: Infinitty War. According to Insider, Downey presented Evans with a 1967 Camaro RS decked in an Army green livery and Captain America ornaments on the inside.
Evans revealed to a publication that Downey had picked the car’s ‘Melted Army Man Green’ color to pair with the steering wheel with a Captain America shield. The Marvels movie star said he had no clues about classic cars, but he appreciated the looks of this 1967 Camaro RS, marked with a commemorative plague that reads “Steve Rodgers” Special Edition Custom Built For Chris Evans by SpeedKore.
Even the special leather upholstery on semi-bucket seats were hand-picked by Downey. The leather picked was the same material used by Evans’ character in Captain America: the Winter Soldier. ‘Beachwood’ veneer on the ceneer console, touchscreen with reverse camera and customized air vents are further highlights of this special edition Camaro RS.
Under the hood, there’s a revworked supercharger that’s been simplified by SpeeKore. It comes complete with pins to secure the custom-built lightweight hood.
Finally, Evans and a co-driver did a high-speed test run on his Camaro RS 1967. The car achieved a top speed of 203 miles per hour.
