You all heard of the New 8 Series Gran Coupe, now get a load of the M8 Competition Gran Coupe! Developed alongside the BMW M8 GTE, the M8 Competirion’s powertrain, chassis and aerodynamics were adapted to suit this exclusive model. It’s slated to make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
A 4.4-liter V8 coupled with an 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox bumps power output to 625 hp and 750 Nm of torque. A speed dash from 0 – 100 km/h takes only 3.2 seconds.
When it comes to looks, the four-door high performance car features large air intakes, Adaptive LEDs with high beam assist, M gills on the side panels, aerodynamically optimized exterior mirrors, a rear spoiler and other M-specific items. These items differentiate it to the standard Gran Coupe. Being an M Specific Gran Coupe, it is 231 millimeters longer than the two-door variants. The 200-millimeter increase in wheelbase length is meant to improve spaciousness in the rear compartment. This also increase Boot space slightly to a capacity of 440 liters.
For the interior, the M8 Competition Gran Coupe is fitted with an M-specific Head-Up Display, M sports seats, four-zone air conditioning, front and rear heated seats, as well as your standard assistance systems like Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant Plus and Live Cockpit Professional with navigation system and Personal Assistant.
The New exclusive design cues of the M8 Competition GC include a BMW Individual Aurora Diamond Green metallic paint finish for the exterior, with accents in Gold Bronze.
