A week ago, Hyundai teased their all-new i20 to the world before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The Korean brand has decided to release full details of their New i20 before the big show in March, after all.
Sensuous Sportiness is the jey theme for the third-generation Hyundai i20, which we’ve previously elaborated. In a nutshell, Hyundai’s latest pocket rocket has been lowered and pumped up for good reasons.
At the front, the new grille adds dynamism to the bumpers. Moving to the side, the New i20 has a wedged style, a bold side character line and unique C-pillar design, as well as unique lighting connecting the side to the rear. From the rear, the dynamic bumpers give it a planted look. There are 10 color options for this sub-compact.
The interior is highlighted by the dashboard’s horizontal blades and two new 10.25” screens for digital display and navigation. Various highlights include sculptured doors, refined steering with toggle switches, a wireless charging pad, a BOSE audio system, Bluelink Connected Car Services, color accents and interior LED ambient lighting. In addition, there are two interior trims in Black or Black & Grey. Meantime, boot space has been upped 25 liters to 351 liters, thanks to the car’s longer wheelbase.
As a compact, the New Hyundai i20 gets a 1.0 T-GDi across the board with two output options 100 PS or 120 PS. Hyundai decided to add a a 48-volt mild hybrid powertrain to the mix for obvious reasons. Transmissions for the car come in either a seven-speed dual clutch transmission (7DCT) or a six-speed manual,
When it comes to safety, Hyundai has to abide by Europe’s stringent regulations. The major highlight here is the Hyundai SmartSense safety package. The package includes a new generation Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA). Vehicle Departure Alert (LDVA), Rear Cross-traffic Collision Assist (RCCA), Parking Collision-avoidance Assist - Reverse (PCA-R), Parking Assist (PA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and High Beam Assist (HBA), and a new service, eCall.
The unveiling of the New i20 is set for the Geneva Motor Show in March.
